When Willis Tower underwent a major modernization, DSA Signage was selected to support the visitor experience with precision-engineered illuminated lightboxes. Drawing more than 1.7 million visitors annually, the Skydeck and surrounding exhibit spaces required signage solutions that balanced durability, visual clarity, and architectural integrity.
The Solution
DSA fabricated and installed 80+ custom, UL-listed lightboxes designed to integrate seamlessly into the Story of Chicago exhibit, illuminating seven rooms while enhancing wayfinding, ambiance, and storytelling. Built to withstand heavy foot traffic and tight project timelines, the lightboxes delivered consistent illumination, accurate color temperature, and a clean, contemporary aesthetic—elevating the experience inside one of Chicago’s most iconic destinations.
