Founded in 2003 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the rapidly growing chain now operates nearly 300 locations worldwide, with more than 1,200 additional restaurants in development across the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Middle East. The Challenge

With rapid expansion across 30 states and the UK, Slim Chickens needed a way to serve more guests without slowing down operations. To support growing demand and improve speed of service, DSA’s engineering team partnered with the Slim Chickens design team to evolve their drive-thru experience by implementing the brand’s first double-lane drive-thru with digital menu boards—creating a scalable model for future locations.

The Solution

DSA Signage designed a full double-lane drive thru digital signage system, including:

  • 2 Clearance Bars
  • 1 Pre-Sell Menu Board
  • 2 All-In-One Order Point Canopies

The canopies protect guests from rain and keep menu boards clean, while commercial-grade 55″ monitors ensure high brightness and outdoor durability 24/7. Unique powder-coated colors reflect Slim Chickens’ branding, and the digital boards make menu updates simple, drawing guests in even at night with bright, dynamic displays.

Collaboration with DSA Signage

Slim Chickens to this day works closely with DSA to develop signage solutions that balance brand identity, functionality, and customer experience. The partnership addressed operational challenges, with the canopy improving weather protection and overall efficiency. This location’s double-lane system includes three digital menu boards — one for promotions and two for the standard menu — allowing easy content updates and a seamless guest experience.
